My achievements as Galileo

At first, I studied pendulums. I studied the way there movement and the way they worked. At first, no one knew what they really were, I just sort of noticed one, one day when I was looking at a lamp swing in the church I attended. I became very interested in the movement of this odd new thing, and I soon discovered that the arc of the pendulum angle, has nothing to do with the time it takes to swing back and forth. Through this discovery I learned a lot about time, which led me to invent a new object known as a clock. The clock I made has a large swinging pendulum in it in order to help keep the time. As some of you may know, I am very interested in mechanical devices. I enjoyed working with them and through looking at the way oars on a boat worked, I realized what they did to the water in order for the ship to move. Through looking and playing around with this, I soon created a pump. The way my pump worked was that it used only one horse to raise the water. Although these achievements are some very interesting and important to life that follows my own, and although I am very proud of them, I think I am most proud of my invention known as a telescope. Even though I got my idea from the other Europeans who used a mechanical device to magnify objects, I took this to the next level and made it possible to be able to magnify and object up to 20X’s. I learned that there were other planets, and I got to see the moon so close. It was unbelievable.
