My impacts have a both positive and negative side. A downfall on my discovering America was the mistreating I gave the native people who we’re currently living on the land. For example diseases like yellow fever, malaria, measles, small pox, pneumonia, whooping cough we’re brought with my fellow Europeans. A further problem with this fact is that the European explores who brought the diseases to the land we’re already immured to them, compared to the newly exposed natives. Also, the populations we’re affected. At one time I captured some of the natives and brought them back to Spain. After seeing myself take Indians without question, other Europeans began to do the same. They we’re selling these people off as slaves, and farmers we’re working them on their fields.
Though not all impacts we’re negative. Because of me, the spread of culture and goods occurred. A trade between the Americas goods and the European goods started to emerge. Also, the planting of certain fruits and vegetables we’re planted like corn, cayenne, cocoa beans, peanuts, potatoes, and tomatoes became more widespread besides just in the native lands as the Americas. These new crop gains gave a boosting to countries such as Russia, England, and France a boost in the economy because they each benefited from the crops. Both culture and economy of many countries we’re affected positively because of this new discovery.
