My impacts on the world that followed me ! (Galileo)

I think that my greatest impact on the world that followed me was my discoveries through my telescope. I know that it was a struggle to get where I knew I needed to go, and I know that sometimes I felt overcome by peoples thoughts of me, but I knew I needed to keep going. My Heliocentric idea will last forever, and I know it. Although my colleague and I guess my enemy Capricornus had made a heliocentric model before, he never had the evidence to prove it. My telescope provided evidence that the Earth traveled around the sun and not vive versa, and even though the Roman Catholics didn’t like it, I knew it was right and I know it will have a huge impact on other people in the future. I know this invention and achievement will impact the way the people view the universe, and it is nice to know that because of me, they will have an accurate knowledge on it as well. I also created a compass, which is helping the military now, so no doubt will it help them in the future. Although i did have many other impacts in the world, because of all the things I invented and created, I really do feel that my Heliocentric idea will have the greatest impact on everyone who follows me. Even though the Roman Catholic Church prosecuted me for my idea, I do know it is correct, and i do know it will have a lasting impact.

  1. I totally agree with you Galileo! Without the telescope, we would have never really known the truth beyond what the Roman Catholics say! I also think it wasn't fair to you that they didn't give you a chance to be heard. What they did was hide the truth so they wouldn't get questioned. They should of gotten questioned because they deserved it! They we're wrong, you we're right!
