My achievements included starting the very successful Columbian Exchange. I don’t mean to brag, but it brought much crops and livestock from the eastern hemisphere all the way to the western hemisphere. Examples of this could be corn, vanilla, chocolate, potatoes, etc.
Another achievement was the island in the ‘new world’ named San Salvador. Like this newfound land, I started colonizing in the new world which is now America today. Besides the Americas, I landed on what is now Jamaica, Guadeloupe and Puerto Rico on one of my voyages. Because of this I am known as a navigator, colonizer, and an explorer who played a key role in spreading civilization across a significant portion of the Earth. My voyages lead to awareness of the Western world. Bringing my culture across this new discovered area. Without me, people question if the United States of America may have been delayed indefinitely, or have never occurred at all.
Though, I must admit, finding what is now The United States of America wasn’t really my goal. I was aiming to finding India, thinking by going west I would eventually hit the coast because the earth is spherical. Even though my logic was wrong, my luck was right. I made of the most amazing discoveries of my time.
